The big thing that this system enables us to do is pasteurize.  We like the fact that this process is very clean and you can pasteurize in the bag, freeze in the bag, thaw in the bag and feed right out of the bag. Now that we have an upright freezer, we can easily see how many meals we have left and what quality they are.  In the past, we have used plastic tubes for tube feeding and we have found that it is much easier to pass the stainless steel tube correctly into the calf.  Is is also easier to clean and it lasts much longer!
